Adidas-Facebook

Adidas have pretty impressive fan following of 23,036,873 people on Facebook. The Company knows they value of keeping direct contact and communication with the consumers. Therefore, Adidas posts 1 post on average of 3-4 days’ period. They also stay engaged with users through their previous posts by commenting on user comments and feedback. Adidas posts different images and links featuring celebrities. For i.e. Adidas posted a post featuring Morgan Brian to promote their supermodel collection.

After observing last 25 posts from the Adidas fan page I can say that Adidas uses 50-50 method on Facebook because half of their posts consists links to their products on their websites and half of them are articles related to the shoes and celebrities who use their shoes. The latest post of Adidas got most likes and shared, the post is about Paul Pogba who just joined the Adidas. Paul Labile Pogba is a French professional footballer who plays for Italian club Juventus and the France national team. He operates primarily as a central midfielder and is comfortable at playing both in attack and defense (Facebook, 2016). This post by Adidas 2.4k likes and 125 shares in just 10 hours.

Nike-Facebook

Nike has 23,827,070 likes on Facebook and it is one of the biggest fan page on the Facebook. Because of the features provided by the Facebook, Nike further divides its pages into different pages dedicated to different countries like Nike Canada, Nike UK, Nike USA etc. Nike typically posts 20 to 25 posts per month. However, Nike has very good response time to user comments on Facebook. Most of the posts by Nike consist of promotional videos featuring different sports celebrities. I have observed last 25 posts by Nike more 75% of these posts are videos and most of them are having around 1.5k to 2.5k likes. Most famous post was the latest video posted by Nike featuring its new shoe “Nike LunarEpic Flyknit(Nike, 2016). Nike doesn’t follow the 50-50 rule much because most of the posts consist the links to its product on its official website.
